At Chilled Logistics Ltd, we understand that freight costs are a large expense to your business. We offer a commitment to our customers that we will provide a “service first” emphasis with a very personal touch.

First established in 2012, Mike O`Rourke became involved in 2015 with the objective of filling a market gap by providing niche refrigerated cartage services from Dunedin and Invercargill into Central Otago. 

Mike felt that smaller to medium sized shippers were perhaps being let down by the larger transport operators and that they may not have been looking after those shippers' best interests. 

Mike says that he saw an opportunity to provide a more responsive and customised service to these operators.  "Chilled Logistics size means that we are big enough to cope, but small enough to care. With our focus on small to medium refrigerated shippers and specialising in a same day daily service from Dunedin, Mosgiel and Invercargill (and all areas in between) to the Central Otago areas means that we can offer a more customer oriented service; working with shippers to get their freight to their customers faster."

He also says that with the excellent relationships that he and the Chilled Logistic team has built with customers that they regularly deliver freight on behalf of their shippers has also proven to be a plus for shippers.  "An added bonus of being a small operator is that the Chilled Logistics team is able to build up personal and trusting relationships with most shippers' regular customers and that this has meant that we are often given feedback from these customers that our team will pass back to shippers."
